The title Reading Comprehension 2.0 may reawaken the semantic battle of the term L2; however to indulge in this dialogue would circumvent the intention of this post. In demonstrating the integration of the reading comprehension strategy instruction as outlined by Ellin Oliver Keene in To Understand and cultivated in a school library environment, I was interested in Web 2.0 tools that would foster engagement in an intensive learning experience. Captured in an article submitted to the SSLA are a myriad of tools to engender the use of talk to visualize meaning and extend thinking.
BTW - After a disastrous incident in which a bevy of sticky notes detailing "text-to-world" connections became affixed to my posterior, the online Post-its became a life line!
